Amy Tinneny-Phillips
Osteopath
Amy is a qualified Osteopath holding a Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Human Biology) and a Master of Osteopathy (M.Ost) from Unitec Auckland. She also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Hhealth Research from Auckland University.
Amy’s enthusiasm for understanding the human body stems from her background in swimming and mixed martial arts. These sports sparked her curiosity about movement and function and also led her to discover osteopathy and manual therapy — after experiencing firsthand the benefits they provided in recovering from a neck and shoulder injury sustained during club-level swimming.
Amy has a structural approach to treatment using soft tissue/massage, articulation, and manipulation techniques. She enjoys meeting new clients and discussing all aspects of their life, (sports, hobbies, and work) to see how best she can help and advise them with not just their pain but also improving their daily biomechanics and movements.
Amy believes in providing practical exercises and stretches that seamlessly fit into daily routines and tries her best not to send you away with too much homework!
Outside the clinic, Amy enjoys exploring the vibrant café scene in Orewa where she lives and unwinding by the beach. She is excited to continue expanding her osteopathic expertise and supporting her clients on their journey to better health and well-being.
